Yesterday, sixth class set off on their final St. John's school tour. They headed off to the much talked about Delphi Adventure Centre for an overnight stay. On arrival they had their packed lunch while they took in their beautiful Connemara surroundings. Shortly after, an instructor came to give them a welcome talk & the children prepared for their first activity... The Bog Challenge. The change into the wetsuits was an experience! After everyone received their life jackets and helmets they headed for the forest. Great fun and craic was had & the dirt was just immense! Once back to Adventure Hub the boys and girls moved into their rooms in the hostel, there was great excitement about the place. Following a forest walk after dinner the children settled down for a lovely restful night's sleep😂🤣. This morning the children were up early to clean out their rooms & have breakfast before setting off for their final activity to the climbing wall in the forest. Skills on display were very impressive with Kimberley being crowned Champion Wall Climber. Everyone had a ball & the overall consensus was 'best school tour ever'. Big shout out to the staff & instructors of Delphi Adventure Centre they were absolutely brilliant👏🏼.
