Active Schools Week in 4th Class
Active Schools Week has been so much fun so far!! Our week started with a drama workshop with Jay Ryan. We had great fun with him, learning new games & laughing a lot.
We got a lovely surprise when past pupil, Killian Barrett, joined us to present the school with a jersey from his new soccer club Sheffield Wednesday whom he signed with recently. We are so proud of Killian & we loved listening to his responses when he took questions from us.
In the afternoon we had circuits out on the Basketball yard, we brought out the speaker and listened some tunes as we exercised🎶🏃🎾.
Yesterday we headed to watch the boys in the Cumann na mBunscol Shield Final, unfortunately they lost but we did our best to support them. We stopped for an ice cream on the way home.
When we got back to school it was time to take penalties on Teacher. Poor Teacher wasn't that successful saving our shots. We brought out the speaker once again and had a dance off with some classic tunes like The Chicken Dance, Cha Cha Slide and the Macarena. Carlie was crowned the Limbo Queen!
Today we started off with table tennis in the GP Room, it was great fun. After break Dermot McDermott took us for an athletic session, he really put us through our paces! 😰
After lunch Dermot did a speed test with the whole school. It was brilliant. Noah & Judith were crowned The Fastest Boy & Girl in 4th Class.
We look forward to the rest of the week, thanks to Ms. McGinley for all her hard work organising this week.
