This month in school we:

Made and presented a presentation on an entrepreneur of our choice. We learned new oral presentation skills and used these during our presentation. We chose Walt Disney and John D Rockefeller.

Arthur and Joey left during the month and we had a going away party for them. We had hot chocolate, sweets, biscuits and all sorts of sweet things. We made them both 'Sorry you're Leaving' cards.

We started TSI which is where we are divided into groups and work on a novel in this group. We have to do a lot of independent workduring these sessions. We work on vocabulary from the novel and comprehension questions based on the chapters we have read. Also we worked on letter writing, Mrs. McMoreland helped us with it.

We took part in Catholic school week. We had an assembly and learned about it during the week. We made cards for grandparents Day cards. Everyone had different ideas. We had a lot of fun doing different art styles and then gave them to our Grandparents.

We celebrated National Holocaust Day by planting crocuses in pots outside. They were to symbolize every child who died during the holocaust. We also watched a movie about Anne Frank. It was called “Where is Anne Frank”.

It was about her imaginary friend called Kitty and as she learns what happened to Anne Frank. It was very interesting to watch and we learned a lot about World War Two and how refugees are struggling to find homes at the moment.

In P.E we did circuits, this was a group of exercises  on which we spent 40 seconds working and then moved on to the next exercise. We had a 20 second break between each exercise. The exercises were as follows running, jumping, squats, plank, burpees etc. It was tough but the more practice we had the fitter

In Irish we were learning about bia and mothúchain, we learned about different food and past, present and future verbs.
